Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was actually taken in my back yard.

Time

Early evening. The weather was not cooperating for the shoot we had planned so we did some improv.

Lighting

The lighting was not great as the weather turned on us. It had started to drizzle, so we had to come up with new and quick posing.

Equipment

Canon 60D, hand held, as we were rushing.

Inspiration

Again, the inspiration was off the cuff. We had to hurry to get some shots before the rain.

Editing

I used Lightroom CC to bring up the shadows and add a tad of exposure.

In my camera bag

Canon 60D, Canon 6D Mark II, Canon 50mm lens, 40mm pancake lens, 70-200mm lens, Canon flash.

Feedback

Don't be afraid to just do! Like I stated earlier, the weather was supposed to be great and we were planning on sunset photos. This didn't happen, because we ended up shooting in the rain. So everything we had planned went right out the window. It was just a quick "let's try this" kind of shoot. I have done this on several occasions, where the weather has caused issues and even once when the power went out. Don't be scared to improvise. Some amazing things can happen!
