The oceans a turquoise vista. The sand on the beach is super fine and nearly pure white. The huge boulders that line the coast are covered by a vivid orange lichen.
The first fleet to Australia noticed the coastline burning as they sailed nearby. The Palawa (local Aboriginals) had lit a bunch of fires, combined with the spectacular orange boulders along this stretch of coast the area was aptly named
