Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my dining room table at home in Ermelo. It is actually a very simple shot.

Time

This was about 16:45 in the afternoon.

Lighting

I totally underexposed the ambient light, and let the top centered room light do the lighting from above.

Equipment

EOS 60D with Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 on a Tripod.

Inspiration

I just love Arum lilies.

Editing

Then I did post processing in photoshop by pushing up the contrast to a point I liked it, did some hard sharpening to create an edgy look, and then desaturate the colors a little. And that was it.

In my camera bag

I like to have 2x Camera bodies. Then I do not have to change lenses outside on a shoot that often. Basically my Canon EOS 60D & 70D bodies with a Tamron 24-70 2.8, Tamron 70-200 2.8 and Tamron 10-24mm 3.5 lenses. Canon and Godox speedlight.

Feedback

This was very simple to do. See something, imagine what you want, and then start manipulating ambient and main light you get as close to what you want. Only then tweak a little in post processing.
