Location
This Photo i made at Hintersee; Ramsau in Bayer Germany This is a small lake in the middle of the mountains at BerchtesgadenTime
it was at the beginning of April 2019 a Friday and i was working at my main job. Stefani was calling me about one pM. She was asking me if i have time to shoot. Luckily I had my equipment in the car. So i picked her up and half an hour we arrived the Lake. we took al my Stuff and walked a few minutes to this lovely Place. She was climbing over the small stones in the water to the Rock and we did some wonderful pictures full of mood.Lighting
The Rock was already in shadow so i used a Profoto B10 on a Stand with an umbrella. wind because the Flash i was able to use a very short exposure time. 1/2000 sec. at f2,8Equipment
Fot this Shot i used a Canon Eos 5D mark IV; EF 16-35mm 2,8 L; a light Stand, one Profoto B10 with remote control and a translucent umbrella.Inspiration
Stefani Millinger /Tigerlilly) is a professional Artist and we did a lot of Shootings around Contortion and Sport. She thought that we will do something like that. But I had a different plan. I wanted to show her soft and feminine side. At first she was a little skeptical. I also needed a bit of time to put her in the right mood. But when she saw the first results, she was also thrilled and did not want to stop anymore.Editing
in Lightroom i increased the contrast and the saturation. Then i used Photoshop to ad a light vignette. Photoshop because I it easier for me to control the intensity and form.In my camera bag
in my Bag i have a Canon Eos1 X and a Eos 5 mark IV. if it goes dirty sometimes i take the Eos 5 mIII For the studio, I almost pack just fixed focal lengths For traveling i use zoom lenses. Most of my Lenses are from the professional line. Two canon 600RT Flashes with the canon radio trigger and a carbon tripod I use light as i need, if the distance to the model is big i use a Profoto B1 Kit and for shorter distances a Profoto B10 KitFeedback
to take such pictures is it important to know the Place very well. If you have to start in the mountains to find a suitable location the light is usually gone before you start to shoot. Than know your model. You have to be sure that she has no problem with it to climb over slippery stones over ice cold Water.
