Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the back yard of my childhood home. It was soon before I moved out and at the end of a beautiful Summer! Everything in it from the sunrise, the worn hook, the weathered fence, and the treetops under blue skies have a place within my soul.

Time

Early sunrise on a regular day. It was cool and clear, not late enough to be crisp but the Sun was so bright.

Lighting

It just went perfectly and I caught it by chance through the fence. This shot was so perfect I took no others.

Equipment

My tablet!

Inspiration

A love of the sunrise and wanting to remember my childhood home the way it was before I left. It changes every year and it had a last glance feel to it.

Editing

No, actually. It just was so perfect and the tablet did the adjusting for me.

In my camera bag

I hav3 a Nikon Coolpix 25MP but most casual shots are shot with my iPad.

Feedback

Go out there when it’s light blue and don’t come back in until it’s been above the trees 15-30 minutes. That way you never miss anything of the Sunrise.
