Location
This photo was taken at a wildlife persevere in San Rafael, CA where many birds gather especially in the early morning hours. I'm a self-taught photographer. My daughter had taken classes in college and I used to watch and learn what I could from her as well.Time
Taken during the hike early morning. That's when I find the most birds in the area.Lighting
The sun was behind me and barely over the hill tops. It really highlights the waterways at that time of day.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon PowerShot 530HS, hand held.Inspiration
The water was so calm that the reflections really mirrored the birds. It seemed they looked like they were on a mirror. This little one also looked so cute and irresistible.Editing
Most of the time, no post-processing. Only put the images from my camera onto my computer. In my camera bag
The only thing I take most of the time is my camera and hopefully remember an extra battery. Nothing worst than running out of power.Feedback
Sometimes I find it helpful to have something to balance my camera on to hold it still. However, when that's not possible, taking a deep breathe and relaxing helps me hold the camera still.
