Behind The Lens

Location

The photo is taken by a lake close to my home town Arvika In Sweden.

Time

We started out about three hours before sunset but this is one om my last photos of the evening and the sun started to set just before I took this shot.

Lighting

I wanted side light in order to create rim light on her body so I could high light her pregnancy.

Equipment

Handheld with a Sony A7 Rii and a Tamron 70-200 lens with adapter at f2,8.

Inspiration

It was deliberate choice to shoot her by the water. I wanted her half naked body to reflect in the water against a warm setting sun in order to create a pleasant atmosphere.

Editing

Contrast light and sky.

In my camera bag

It depends on what I am shooting but mostly my Sony A7 Riii and a 24-105 lens + cloth to wipe the lens.

Feedback

Use the light to your benefit. I prefer to use the light coming sideways so I don't get flares and low contrast in my photos. If you shoot in sidelight you can always create nice well lit photos.
