A glacier's landscape is so alien to anything I've experienced before and to be able to walk among towering ice towers and feel so small is a humbling experience. No picture I've been able to take or seen from other people can truly relay the scale of the Perito Moreno glacier - it is 4-5 km across, 23 km long and from the front of the glacier it is 50m high (although there is more than 100m more below the line of the water). Basically, it's huge! Hopefully this image gives some sense of the scale of just a small part of the glacier
