Whitout specialized studio equipment i had to wait till it was complete dark outsideLighting
As a lighting I used a 30w UV eco bulb inserted in a desk lamp.Equipment
I used my Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.8f prime.Inspiration
I'm inspired by light and colors all the time, this time I wanted to capture UV light because this is the only light that you cant really see. So I bought some UV body paint a light bulb waited till it's total dark.Editing
Not much, except a bit of clean up on the background as it was messy without a proper backdrop. I also inscreased the saturation on the blues a bit.In my camera bag
The D750 with 50mm it's always there. Usually i got a speedlight, and sometimes a cheap telephoto lens 70-300 as extra. I like to keep weight as low as possible in my bag.Feedback
Never give up! You don't need expensive gear to capture something similar. Make sure you have chosen the facepaint patern before the shooting in order to keep stuff fast and consistent otherwise the model might get bored.
