Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in a beach near the place I live, in Porto. it's called Praia de Matosinhos. it was low tide and the light was magnificent. Guto is my partner intime

Time

this is probably one of the most cherished photos I uploaded on Viewbug. it was early morning, around 7.45 am. winter chilly day. just me, my dog and one old man walking in this long long shinny sand.

Lighting

the idea was to make the dog look like the master of the beach. so I lowered the angle so he could look bigger than the people that are watching the photo. the sun was rising behind me.

Equipment

I used the iPhone X. this day I went out without my photo equipment.

Inspiration

what inspired me was the light and environment when I was walking with doggo.

Editing

I used just a contrast, light and a bit of saturation to make the subject more powerful.

In my camera bag

my bag is composed with a Nikon D810. a 50mm 1.4, a 24-85mm, a 105mm macro, 80-200 mm nikkor tele and a tampon 200-500mm. and my Iphone that is always on my pocket.

Feedback

try to create your own Point of View. try to be creative using what new perspectives or places that you usually go and tell a story about it.
