I was able to capture this spectacular lady just as she was taking off from her resting spot on a snowy stump. The afternoon light was just perfect on the snow. It created an awesome natural reflector effect on her wings. I made a mental note - snow, March, 3 - 4 p.m. equals perfect opportunities for capturing extra cool eagle shots if you live in Alaska.
