Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on Keys Creek, a year round stream in Valley Center, CA. I hike and photograph here often.

Time

It was February 26, 11:30 a.m.

Lighting

It was an unusually bright but hazy day.

Equipment

IPhone

Inspiration

I was looking to photograph ferns but the natural lighting was magic. I hike and photograph here often. The stream had settled from heavy rains, it was time to explore. This was my 29th shot in 30 minutes.

Editing

I cropped the image a little to create a strong primary focal point and eliminate distractions. I darkened the image by increasing shadow and reduced sharpness.

Feedback

Take lots of pictures. Its ok to reshoot an image or scene. After you shoot, experiment with cropping, light and color filters.
