In Cuba, girls come of age when they reach fifteen and lavish celebrations and photoshoots are arranged to commemorate the occasion. This young woman was preparing for her Quinceañera photoshoot among the pigeons in Havana. I liked the contrast between her coiffured glamour and the slouching onlooker in the background, stuffing her face. The child feeding the pigeons and the woman checking her phone remain oblivious to both.
