Two cameras; and usually in the pockets of my photo jacket. This is the small and waterproof one, very practical in all situations. The other camera was left at home at that occasion, since I only drove to the store to get a few things... but at least one camera is with me at all times.Feedback
Things have a way of happening when you do not expect them, so if you want to react in time, always have a camera with you. Never leave home without your camera; even when you're reading a book at home, have a camera handy. This is the most important advice for photographers that I can think of.
