Behind The Lens

Location

If anyone has been to Yosemite they know the "Tunnel View" and the Vista point just outside of the west park entrance.

Time

This was an impromptu visit to Yosemite and was taken as we were leaving to park to head home, around 2pm I believe.

Lighting

The light in the park is usually always spectacular and this day was clear and "fresh" with the sun mostly behind me lighting up the valley with some very dramatic clouds.

Equipment

This was shot on my old T3i with a 50MM-250MM Zoom lens at f/3.5 ISO 100 Shutter 1/2000 Focal Length 18/1

Inspiration

The entire valley is inspirational, no wonder Ansel Adams loved this place! I actually turned this into a back lit "window" that I hung on my wall to make it look like you are looking out the window onto the valley.

Editing

I actually just adjusted some of the exposure, and levels but nothing too much. Unfortunately Bridalveil falls wasn't too big that year but I tried to brighten that area to so it wasn't so dark.

In my camera bag

At the time I had a 18mm-50mm kit lens, 50mm-20mm zoom lens, 50 mm prime lens, Tri-Pod, tons of SD Cards, lens covers, good hiking shoes and comfortable clothes and snacks.

Feedback

GO TO YOSEMITE!! and don't forget your camera. Its a truly amazing place and I feel like you can't take a bad picture in that valley. Get out and take some shots.
