Only the males have this spectacular colour, yes Victor? Love the composition with the tangle of twigs in the background and him sitting in front. To make this image really pop, I’d darken the very white branch at the back some, because at the moment the eyes tend to go back there again and again. That will also make him stand out more.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment with recommendations. I did take your advice and I liked the results but thinking about what you suggested, made me think more about everything in the image. And yes, the male has this vibrant red color.
