Location
I took this photo was taken at Öxarárfoss waterfall in Iceland. It took roughly about a 15 minute hike to get there. The hike was absolutely amazing with walking through what looks like a giant crack in a he earth.Time
It was around 10am. Which was right after sunrise since I took it in the winter.Lighting
The whole time I was in Iceland in December the lighting was fantastic it was like having a golden hour for 5 hours a day. Of course that was really the only light you got all day haha.Equipment
To capture this shot I used a tripod a 10 Stop ND filter to get movement of the water. And at the time I was shooting with a canon 70D which was my first camera.Inspiration
I love the outdoors. So really anything I run into while hiking around I love sharing with people.Editing
I did have to clean up quite a few watermarks that got on the lens. With a around 20 second exposure next to a waterfall there’s not many ways to avoid getting water on your lens. That and I desaturated it quite a bit.In my camera bag
At the time I had a 16-35mm 2.8 and a 16mm 1.8 and a 35mm 1.4. With a canon 70D Now I switched to Sony and use a Sony a7riv, 16-35 2.8GM and a 70-200 2.8GM and a 2X teleconverter.Feedback
Make sure you have an ND filter that is strong. It will take you many tries to get the shot you want without having the whole lens covered in water. So pack accordingly for that!
