Location
I took this photo in Bergen/Norway right by the city fjord in a boat house during a cold february month in 2019. I am a self taught photographer who started my photography journey the same year I took this photo.Time
This was the first photo I really planned a head for and had a clear idea of what I wanted from the very start. It was early day time. Around 14:00. The sky was partially clouded and it was very, very cold outside!Lighting
I wanted to display the flawless makup and skin on the model, and decided to go for the steady light output from the Rotolight Neo II.Equipment
When I planned this shot, I allready knew what lens to use. I combined the 85mm 1.4F GM to the Sony A7 III to get perfect focus on the subjects eyes.Inspiration
I wanted to create something that demanded the attention from the viewer. The look and expression of the model for this picture was exactly what I was hoping to achieve when I planned this shot.Editing
I did some colour adjustments and exposure correction on Lightroom on this photo. Usually Lightroom is all I ever use in my work for editing. In my camera bag
My standard setup in my camera bag is based around the Sony A7 III. I usually combine that with the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8. I also tend to use the AD200 from Godox that fits perfectly in my camera bag.Feedback
Try to have a clear idea of what you want for the picture. Look, mood and light is key here. Location is not the most important element to a photo like this, so you can do this anywhere. But try to keep the colour scheme logical to not distract the viewer from the eyes of the model.
