Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Doha Corniche in Doha, Qatar.

Time

I remember it was around 9pm at night and the weather was so good to chill outside taking photos of the city. I had no tripod so I balanced my camera on a flat concrete. This was taken on the 10th February & it was still the winter season in Qatar.

Lighting

The lighting was all natural. The place's lighting was not very much, not too dark and not too bright.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D7000, with a Tamron 18 - 200mm lens. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I've always wanted to capture architecture/buildings and I didn't know much about night photograph, so this was like a test shot and ended up being a decent photograph image. My dad was with me when shooting the skyscrapers together. He did assist me little bit for the shoot.

Editing

The picture was taken in RAW format so I just edited in Camera Raw and Photoshop. Nothing much special edits added to the picture.

In my camera bag

By the time of taking this picture, I was still a beginner so in my camera bag, there wasn't much stuff in it. I had my other camera which was my action camera, GoPro Hero 4, that was all.

Feedback

To be honest, it's all trial and error for me back then. Fixed a few settings and there. I also did research on how to capture at night with low light before the shoot.
