I was a little unsure whether to post or even process this one... so I'll be keen to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Last month, just days before the heavy snow descended on the Brecon Beacons I headed for Upper Neuadd Reservoir.
I had a preconceived idea in my head of a shot - that being Pen Y Fan and the surrounding peaks catching the morning sunrise and reflecting in the lake below.
However, when I arrived on location, I found Neuadd Reservoir completely empty - with just the source of the River Taf meandering through the lake bed.
I decided to walk the lake bed, looking for a different composition. I found this shot of the Taf leading up towards Pen Y Fan - with a dusting of snow. So I set up and waited for the sunrise.
Despite a weather check the night before, low cloud blocked the sun's light from directly illuminating the scene to my disappointment. And the colour shown in the clouds were as good as it got!
So with a bit of heavy dodging and other small adjustments I've ended up with this image!
