Behind The Lens

Location

I took the original picture outside of my home

Time

It was shortly after midnight. I wanted to go creeping around looking for the night time critters and came upon this flower.

Lighting

I used a flashlight to illuminate to the flower and a ring flash attachment on my camera.

Equipment

For this picture I used Photoshop to alter the original image, using a filter called Fractilius. The original picture (on my profile) I used my Canon T6 with my telephoto zoom/macro lens. The ring flash was a Neewer brand ring flash I got when I first started photography.

Inspiration

I was orginally looking for bugs to photograph, I saw this flower and wanted to take a picture of it.

Editing

Yes. Photoshop, I used a filter called Fractilius to give it the "wire line" look.

In my camera bag

Canon T6, telephoto zoom/macro lens, regular kit lens and a few misc items

Feedback

Try to go out late at night when the bugs are getting ready to sleep, sometimes you come across something cool (like this flower still looking perfect in bloom.)
