Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken on an indoor location (rented appartment) in Wiesbaden.
Time
The shooting session with Michaela took place between 9 and 12.00 am. Since I always have my flash equipment on Location with me, the time of the day was not so important for this photo.
Lighting
The appartment had large windows, therefore I only needed to support the daylight. I wanted to have a clean light on the face of the model. Hence I turned the direction of the softbox to the ceiling, which bounced the flash light to model.
Equipment
The equipment for this photo: Sony A7 II with Sony 50 mm (f 1.8). EXIF data are: ISO 100, 1/125 s and f 2.5. 1 x Godox Flash in an SMDV-Softbox.
Inspiration
I love old cameras because of their beauty and I collect those from the 1950 and 1960... in particular I like the camera design of this time. With this concept of "2 beauties" I bring together 2 beautiful "item".... a model and an old camera. The camera in this picture is a Werra from East Germany.
Editing
In most cases I just make fundamental processing in Lightroom. I always shoot in raw Format.
In my camera bag
The items in my bag have a focus on portrait- and people photography. In my bag are: Sony A7 RII and Sony A7 II. I love to work with full format cameras. Sometimes I shoot with Canon 5D II or with Fuji. Always in my bag are: Sigma ART 35 mm, Sony 50 mm and Sony 85 mm. For some occasions I have Canon 135 mm and the Sigma MC 11 converter with me. Furthermore up to 4 Flashlights (Godox) which support me to light also complex rooms and scenes.
Feedback
I would recommend to work with different viewpoints to the model. Each model has her or his most attractive side… it is the role of you as the photographer to work this out.
