Man o' War, born March 29, 1917 died November 1, 1947, was an American Thoroughbred widely considered one of the greatest racehorses of all time. During his racing career just after World War I, Man o' War won 20 of 21 races. He later beat the one horse that beat him (fittingly named Upset), in the Preakness Stakes by 1 ½ lengths.
