By the time I reached this point I was totally trashed. I had done Alcatraz then walked from that pier along all the piers, climbed up to Lombard Street. From this vantage point the bridge didn't look too far. Hmm, wrong. Even my incredibly comfortable hiking boots were to no avail in the end. Thankfully I had the taxi number .... rode back in style to my hotel. Magic day though!
