We often take for granted beauty that we see every day in our own backyard. Many times I have driven over a small bridge spanning a stream in the valley in which I live. And many times I have thought, nice scene but not worth stopping to take a photograph. Until a blazing sunset cast the scene in a new light. I was fortunate enough to be at that bridge just in time to see the water reflecting the fire in the sky. As neighbors have told me, images casting familiar scenes in a new light help us better appreciate the beauty that is around us every day.
