Location
This photo was taken in my backyard. I have a butterfly garden and this hummingbird has been visiting it for a while every morning.Time
It was early morning, around 7am, and it was kind of cold, at least for South Florida. That's why the fluffy look.Lighting
It was a cloudy morning but the light was perfect for this kind of photo.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel t7i, using the 55-250mm lens at 250mm. Hummingbirds are really small, so 250mm isn't really enough to fill the frame with the bird. So I had no choice but try to get closer really slowly. After failing to get close enough several times in previous days, I was finally able to do so in this occasion. I guess it started to feel more comfortable with me around.Inspiration
I absolutely love animals, and birds are very special to photograph because of their amazing variety of colors and patterns in their feathers. Taking pictures like this and then looking at them and sharing them is very rewarding, as it reminds me of all the beautiful things that we have in this planet that we sometimes take for granted.Editing
I didn't do a lot of post processing for this image. Just some cropping and tone adjustment. In my camera bag
I'm always carrying my Canon 100mm macro lens for butterflies and close up work. Also the 55-250mm for wildlife and landscapes and a 17-40mm wide angle zoom lens. My current camera is the Canon Rebel t7i.Feedback
My advice would be to be very patient, and always respect wildlife. Also enjoy the moment, contemplate animals to learn their behavior as it would help you better to be ready to capture that special moment.
