I really like the negative space. The high contract on the face works very well

Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken at my home studio, located in Lisbon Portugal

Time

It was taken on a Lazy Saturday Afternoon, warm weather as usual.

Lighting

two light set-up. a Strobe in front as my main light. I then placed a strobe pointing at ther back just so that there was some detail there.

Equipment

My camera for studio work is normally my canon 80D. My strobes are basiC Pixel King Strobes. No modifier used.

Inspiration

this was my last shot of the day. we'd been taking shots of my Soul and Dance project (shes a bailarina) and i decided to take some shots conveying her in a relaxation state. as she was tired the ideal position was sitting.. actually worked out very well.

Editing

I always do post processing. blemish removal, light corrections, sometimes sharpen, and general shot improvements. Obviously this shot was corrected to B&W in post production.

In my camera bag

Not much! camera, normally 80D or 7D, Canon 70:200 f4 or my 24:70 f2.8 tamron lens, or my 10:24mm. thats normally it. I like to travel light and the more equipment i have the more complicated the shot becomes. I like to think simple.. and keep it simple.

Feedback

Dont over do it with lights and thinking. even i do sometimes... but at the end of the day.. less is more... from experience :)
