Location
This photo was taken during a visit to the Butterfly garden of the largest studio complex in the world i.e. 'Ramoji Film City', Hyderabad, India . The film city has a great amusement park, bird zoo and also newly created Butterfly garden.Time
This was taken in the middle of the day during harsh sunlight but I did manage to use it to my advantage and got those vibrant colours falling on the leaves and the butterflyLighting
I preferred to use natural sunlight for this capture as it was quite bright and sunny in the mid noon.Equipment
I used Canon 550D along with basic 18-55 kit lens for this shoot.Inspiration
I spotted this butterfly from the film city park garden which really caught my eye due to its vibrant colours and surroundings. The contrast it created was very eye catching and hence I was naturally drawn into it. I think the butterfly also waited for me and give her best shot :)Editing
Actually this picture was quite perfect SOOC. Although I did few minor adjustment on contrast and vibrance to give it a more original look.In my camera bag
Since I am not a professional photographer, I generally have few of my lenses and my new camera in my bag. This includes my camera body which is Canon 800D along with my 18-55 kit lens, my 70-300 Tamron telephoto zoom lens and two prime lenses 35mm f2 and 50mm f1.8. Apart from this I also have few UV and ND filters and one extra battery. Oh yes .. I have new macro extension tube which I tend to carry sometimes in my camera bag.Feedback
I think for capturing wild animals or insects or similar kind of photography, the most important thing is timing. If you miss the right timing you miss the shot from a good shot to an absolute great shot. Also it depends sometimes on luck especially for wildlife photography. Long and fast lens adds to the list and also if you have a tripod, it is kind of icing on the cake. If you have these and a bit of luck, I think you can get the perfect shot.
