Bald eagles can be found in numerous places throughout northern California. This one, along with its mate and at least one other pair, is a permanent resident of the Sierra Valley near Sierraville off scenic Highway 49 during all seasons including winter. It is always a thrill to see this magnificent bird no matter where it happens to be!
