Location
I took this picture at Het Brielse Meer. That's a recreation area in the Netherlands, next to the beautiful little town called Brielle.Time
This was shot somewhere in the afternoon, when most of the heat was gone. Because there's a lot of water my dog can very frequently take a swim, which he does happily.Lighting
I try to avoid harsh sunlight and this was no exception, so I placed him between the weeds in the shade.Equipment
This was shot with the Nikon D500 with the Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8 G2. I hardly use a tripod or flash when I'm shooting dogs outside, makes me less flexible. Most of the time I'm lying flat on the ground.Inspiration
These weeds always look so nice so I just had to put him between those.Editing
Yes, I always post process my pictures, because I shoot RAW. First I use my normal LightRoom processing, lowering the highlights, upping the shadows. Then I took it to Photoshop and from there I used Nik Silver Efex Pro.In my camera bag
It depends on what and where I'm shooting and what I'm in the mood for. I own a full frame Pentax camera, the K1 and because I shoot with Pentax for almost 10 years most of my lenses are for the Pentax. My ultimate favorite is the Sigma 85 mm f/1.4 but I also really like the use my Pentax 15-30 mm f/2.8. I love wide-angle lenses. Then there's my Nikon D500 which I bought for action photography, accompanied with the Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8 G2. Of course you can also use it for a lot of other kind of photography.Feedback
Just look around and don't think that the ordinary isn't worth to be photographed.
