I made my photograph Bike and Window, at the Hotel Vendome, in Prescott Arizona on Friday March16 2018 at 10:37am.Time
It was mid morning, I had checked in and had brought in my suitcase when the orange bike caught my attention.Lighting
I like the contrast created by the dark interior and the brighter outdoor light.Equipment
I made this photograph by using the camera at hand, which in this case was a Nexus cell phone.Inspiration
The wooden frame of the window pane, the curtains, and the orange balloon tire bike with basket, created a nostalgic look for me.Editing
I adjusted the highlight and shadow detail to balance the two.In my camera bag
I am a large format film photographer. For my digital camera I use a Nikon D810 with an 18 to 24 and 24 to 300mm lens. I use a Pentax spot meter, and a Gitzo carbon fiber tripod with a 3 way tilt head.Feedback
I used a nexus cell phone, which was my camera on hand. I usually use a cell phone to make sketch images. "Orange Bike and Window" worked out because I had access to a camera at hand.
