While taking some pictures in South Patagonia the sky got really cloudy, I thought that I didn't had a chance to photograph a nice landscape that day, it looked as it was going to rain. I stood there for a little more, and just before the rain started the last rays of light made the magical shot.

Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in El Calafate, Argentinean Patagonia.Time
I was driving with my car doing some errands, when I saw the magnificent light I stopped and tried to find a different frame for this picture. Usually I don't bring my camera when I do errands, but fortunately that afternoon I had it with me and could take this picture.Lighting
I decided to take this picture because the light was very dramatic. You could see the rays of light going through the clouds.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon 5D Mk II with a 24-105 F 4 Lens, handheld.Inspiration
Usually the nicest light in this area is during the sunrise. It was very uncommon to have an interesting sky during the afternoon, this is why I wanted to capture this moment. Also very important, I wanted to show the native flora of this place.Editing
I always shoot in Raw, so my post processing begins with Camera Raw to take care of basic adjustments. Then in Photoshop I delete any sensor spots and finish my post-processing using Nik Collection to define the final colors and look of the image. In my camera bag
I always tend to shoot landscape pictures with a wide-angle lens (16-35 mm 2.8 Canon), but since I had the camera with this lens (24-105 F4 Canon) in my bag during that afternoon it made me frame in a different way.Feedback
To always have your camera handy and be alert, you don't know exactly when you will find something beautiful to photograph.
