During spring break of 2004, my oldest niece had flown out to Los Angeles. After picking her up at LAX, we had taken a drive up to nearby Venice Beach, so she could see the Pacific Ocean. To our surprise, we were able to catch a film crew shooting an upcoming episode of 'CSI Miami', starring David Caruso.

The scene being filmed involved a small plane crash on the beach. Since Los Angeles is substituting for Miami, this is probably supposed to be an early morning scene, even though it was nearly sundown in LA.

Notice not one, but two Humvees in the shot. This was the star's car in the show. Also note the Miami Dade County police SUV in foreground.
