Location
This was taken on a dirt road on the Berry College Campus that leads to a historic school house. I had stopped to see deer in the pastures.Time
This was taken in the evening around four-thirty. The sun was to my back and about 2 hours from setting.Lighting
I just got blessed with the sunlight still shining behind me as the clouds were rolling in over the hills. I could see a rain shower in the distance headed my way. It made for some unique lighting and contrast in the photo.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon EOS no other equipmentInspiration
When I looked backed and seen those clouds coming my way down this wooden fence line with gorgeous green pasture, well, who could resist that kind of shot? It was beautiful to me and that's where I start.Editing
I added a touch of warmth to it. And increased the contrast a bit as I recall. That gave it more of a dramatic impact overall. In my camera bag
I'm a Canon girl. Extra batteries, tripods, poncho, cleaning cloth for lens, filters. I try to take only what I need for where I am headed while still being prepared for anything that comes up.Feedback
Weather was the biggest factor for this shot. Being out in nature at the right moment takes patience and lots of time with thousands of mediocre shots to get that one great one sometimes. Shoot what you like and at lots of different angles. There's beauty everywhere, we just have to see it, and capture it.
