Location
I took this photo during a photography workshop called "Fashion photography" that was held in Zagreb by the "Fotonaut" photography school. If somebody plans to visit Croatia, I would definitely recommend applying for a workshop or any other held by that school.Time
It was evening, around 7 pm during winter. I was in a closed studio so natural light didn´t have any effect on a photo.Lighting
I used studio flash Bowens Esprit 500 and a 53" white, deep umbrella.Equipment
I used Nikon D7100 and 18-105mm Nikkor lens and flash.Inspiration
It was a part of a fashion photoshoot and the point was to focus on the whole figure, but I really liked her face, unconventional blue hair and the way she moves through the plants that were put around her. I was lucky to have worked with such a talented model who moves with grace. Her dress was the exact color of the plants around her so she blended in perfectly.Editing
I did a basic portrait retouch (frequency separation) technique and try to create a bit of matte finish.In my camera bag
I´m a bit shy when it comes to my equipment because I only carry basic things: camera + two pair of lenses (50mm prime lens and an 18-105mm lens). Sometimes I carry a 70-300mm lens but it´s quite heavy so it´s not a part of regular equipment. Most of the time I also carry my Nikon Speedlight sb 700 flash, remote controller and a flash diffuser. Depending on what I shoot I take a monopod, tripod or a mini tripod. I am hoping to enhance my equipment soon.Feedback
I would recommend the studio lighting I used, it really produces high-quality results. Also, find some quality material to put the plants into, like polystyrene. The rest is up to you and your imagination. There are really no limits!
