I always stand in utter amazement and awe when I touch, look at, or see the stone walls built by our ancestors in New England. Each boulder placed to fit almost perfectly on and next to the other boulder, weighs at least 100 pounds. Well, that is the 12 inch boulders weigh about 100 pounds. The 24 inch boulders weigh up to 700 pounds!

Not only did our ancestors carry and drag these boulders to their selective spots, they had to hand-pick them too, looking through the forest, and often digging them up. As insanely as it may sound, these walls sometimes had to be built during frosty days too. I am and always will be inspired by our ancestors, no matter what land they may have come from in this world.
