Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken on the road to Plana Mountain, located near Sofia - the city where I live.Time
This is one of my favorite photos, but paradoxically it was not taken in my favorite shooting hours... Quite contrary to some rules - it was taken almost at noon.Lighting
The ambient light is natural and I liked it from the first moment.Equipment
This was photographed on a Canon 600D with an EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
It was a warm winter for the place where I live. Moreover, we have been expecting snow for a long time and there was still no snow. When I woke up that day, I couldn't believe my eyes - there was snow... and not some snow but 15-20 cm :) I was so happy that I grabbed my camera and headed to one of the nearby mountains. I'd had an idea for a shot like this for a while and was in a hurry to seize the moment. Traveling along the narrow mountain road in another turn I realized that this is the place in my imagination and fortunately the sky just complemented the landscape.Editing
Usually a lot of processing is done in nature and landscape photography ... and I'm no exception. In this photo, I also put a effort into geometric straightening of the picture - due to the 10-18mm lens used.In my camera bag
The lenses I carried with me until recently were Sigma 105mm, Canon 10-18mm, Canon 50mm, sometimes the usual set - 18-55mm and 70-300mm. Body - Canon EOS 600d. I had to use another brand of camera (Sony) relatively recently and unfortunately my current set of lenses is too modest. Of course, like any other avid photographer, although an amateur, I dream of better equipment, but I use what is available and enjoy every hour spent in nature.Feedback
Typically, I orient myself to little-known and wild places with preserved nature. As a general rule, one of the main qualities of a landscape photographer is a good eye, patience and the ability to wait for the right time - this is a fact, but sometimes the rules must be broken and the right moment used. Of course planning and research are highly recommended, although luck sometimes helps a lot :)
