Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo during a trip to Cinque Terre, specifically in the town of Manarola, in Italy.

Time

The shoot was taken just after sunset, during blue hour.

Lighting

It was darkening very fast, we where there January 2, so there was poor light.

Equipment

I used first generation of Sony A7 mounted on a tripod for a long exposure, the lens was a vintage 28 mm Canon FD.I had a 244 seconds exposure time without any filter.

Inspiration

I always love to take pictures in this beautiful place, any time of the year, and in this case I was lucky there was almost nobody around.

Editing

I used lightroom to make little adjustment for light, shadows, clarity, and a little color grading to obtain that dreamy blue color for sky and sea.

In my camera bag

When I'm going out to take pictures I usually take with me first of all my drone Dji Phantom 4 pro, my camera Sony A7 with 28/50/135 mm lens, an ND1000, a polarized filter both from Nisi, an RGB mini panel light, and a macro adapter for my lens, just in case......And all this equipment stays in a little bag on my shoulder.Always ready !!!

Feedback

Just go outside and take as much soots as you can, but do it for passion and with inspiration.
