The photo was taken in Városliget (Citypark), Budapest, Hungary. There was an Old-timer Grand Prix, and it was my first tour with my first digital camera. I tried more composition from a different angle with different camera settings.Time
The wheater was brilliant, the conditions - light, temperature, - were ideal, maybe too ideal. I looked at the right angle to take a photo without reflections on the car-body.Lighting
I wanted to take a photo which can give the feeling of the age of 1955-60 in America.Equipment
Canon EOS 350D, EF-S 18-55mm, S=1/200 F/8; f=18mm, ISO200Inspiration
I'm an old-timer fan, I like the elegant car-body whit lot of crome and long curves.Editing
Yes, I wanted to show definitely the car's details, so deleted the environment and made a soft smoothing along the outer edges. In my camera bag
I have a Canon EOS 750D camera body. I use for the general theme an EF-S 18-130mm ISM. In my bag is an EF 75-300 USM. Today - at home - I use a vintage lens: Tessar M42 2,8/50 and Pentacon Electric 1.8/50 to take photos whit a special atmosphere.Feedback
A good car photo needs a lot of patience. You have to take photos from more angles, with more settings depending on what you want to stress: a little but specific details (e.g.: logo, characteristic curves, chrome line, etc...) or your impression about the given car... (elegant, funny, dynamic, strong, etc...). One photo is never enough!
