Great image. Almost all of the dog’s face is in focus. If you used f11 it might have been pinsharp from nose-tip to Eyes. There’s a bit of red-eye that mars the eyes too, or maybe the dog has the beginning of cataracts? The face is full of character, and he looks a bit annoyed by having been disturbed...you’ve captured emotion beautifully from this animal.

Thank you. There is a newer shot higher up in my gallery taken by my wife that is almost nose to nose with this beautiful beast. The dog's name is Sofia, and she is immensely powerful 100 pound mix of American Bulldog and Rottweiler. I am thankful she is a gentle lap dog; I would hate to see a dog this big and strong become aggressive. The hybrid name that can be searched: 'American Bullweiler.
