I was photographing a sunset in Tucson, AZ and was drawn to the silhouette the Cholla cactus was forming with the sun backlit behind it. I didn't see the sunstar effect until I went to process the photo later.

The afternoon was smokey. As I drove past this small lake, the haze drifted over the sun, giving it a sunset look.

I took this picture after a morning shower.
