Location
This was taken in the Camargue, which is in southern France. I was on a photography trip with CreateAway covering the Gardian festival, bulls, flamingos and wild horses. One of our shoots was scheduled with this beautiful white stallion on the beach.Time
This photo was taken at around 3pm in the afternoon. It was a windy day.Lighting
This was taken with natural light, f5.6, ISO 3200, 1/500.Equipment
Canon EOS 6D Mark II, Canon 70-300 lens, handheld.Inspiration
This was one of the scheduled shoots on the trip.Editing
Yes, there was a trainer in the picture and a light halter on the horse which I had to remove. I also cropped and adjusted brightness and contrast. In my camera bag
I have a new Canon EOS 6D Mark II. I also carry my old Canon t5i body as a spare. I have 2 lenses that I use, a Canon 24-105 and a Canon 70-300 1:4 - 5.6 L. I also have a Canon t2i converted to infrared with a Canon 18-200 lens.Feedback
This was a staged shoot, set up by CreateAway as part of their Ultimate Camargue Festival package. It was one of the best photography trips that I have been on, and included 9 different shoots. As well as doing pictures in the dunes, we also had the horse running on the beach and in the water.
