Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture on my trip to southern Spain this summer, I met its owner and being passionate about the world of motor I could not resist to portray it

Time

we waited for it to be done at night so we could create the lighting

Lighting

for lighting I used a base photograph f.8 5 seconds ISO 50 and 10 photographs for lighting f.8 14 seconds ISO 50 with a light yognuo yn360ii with a homemade fabric diffuser

Equipment

I used my Nikon d800e with a Tamron lens 24_70f.2.8 on a Benro FIF28A + IB2 tripod

Inspiration

try to capture in a photograph the way to make a living and the way of escape of a passionate about Japanese cars, the owner or myself

Editing

the postproduction process was complicated, first I had to join all the illuminations and discard the invalid ones, once the lighting of the vehicle and the scene was achieved, I adjusted light, contrast, saturation, until achieving the aspect I had in mind since I saw the car and I knew the story of its owner

In my camera bag

Nikon D800E Tamron 15_30f.2.8 Tamron 24_70f.2.8 Tamron 70_200f.2.8G2 Benro FIF28A+IB2 Benro T150 filter holder Formatthitech 6 stops 2x Godox V860II Yognuo Yn360ii and something that I will forget

Feedback

practice with cars to scale has helped me to understand the behavior of light on cars and their shapes and how to get the reflections where they feel best to each car, then practice with your own car and your friends to achieve the finished image what are you looking for
