I took this photo in the evening of Tuesday, 11 December 2018, an hour or so before the terrorist attack.

I am not an experienced street photographer so i felt well out of my comfort zone when i asked the guy if he was OK with my taking a photo of him. He smiled, nodded, and just when i pressed the shutter, raised his hand to wave at me.

His lovely reactions gave me wings and i just kept photographing at the market for another hour -- and, as it turned out, escaped the shooting in the safety of a restaurant.

I just hope that this guy is OK, and that he is back to cheering many people up and that he keeps selling the tickets to his merry-go-round to many many happy children...
