Oh Boy what a day. I went from sunny weather to chilling place in just one hour. You'd be surprised with the difference between the weather conditions in cradle mountains and any other place in Tasmania on any given day. While I was waiting for shuttle which will drop you at various different points on cradle mountains, Dove Lake is the most known of all.
As I approached dove lake, it was already snowing and the wind was absolutely freezing.
Fun fact is you can drink from any little stream or the lake itself if you are thirsty. The water here is more fresh than what you can buy from supermarkets and this is coming from experience. Yes, my skin was dry and was thirsty when someone suggested me to drink this water.
This is the famous boat shed at dove lake. I came here unprepared which includes not bringing my gumboots. I thought I could stand in water barefoot to photograph the shed at a slightly different angle. As soon as I stepped in, I started to feel the force of nature this place has to offer in my bones. I couldn't stand there for 30 seconds, let alone composing and taking the photograph. This is a must visit place if you are travelling to tasmania, it's a bit challenging but worth more than that.
