Thanks very much. So sad they are almost extinct in Aus. They’re becoming rare here too. Tho I’ve seen 3 in my garden in the last week. No stream or pond here either so it’s a mystery where they breed. Beautiful Aussie imports introduced here in the 1860s, but they only survived in the upper North Island.
