Head out with your camera whatever the weather! You might get an image, you might not, but one thing is for sure; you are more likely to learn something from the experience than not.

This image shows Bournemouth Pier in torrential rain one night last week.

Learning outcomes achieved:

1. Rain is wet!
2. Camera's don't mind a little water.
3. Lenses need to be wiped dry constantly.
4. Tilt and shift lenses are great for architecture (we knew that one already though !!).

More seriously and to press the point home: I joined a photographer one winters day for an outdoor "photo shoot" a while back. The "photographer" would not get his precious camera out of his bag because it was raining. The outcome from that day was a magazine publication for me and a dry camera for him. With a little risk rewards can be reaped.
