We took this shot at Avalon beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Bec was an amazing model, so sweet and friendly. She really made the day a breeze.Time
We shot this first thing before the sun got too high in the sky, it was probably about 7:45am.Lighting
I love backlighting. I also like to create depth in my shots, so you can manipulate the foreground so it gives a really nice mood to the shot.Equipment

Just being creative on the beach with nice people is inspiration enough. This is a tough industry and if you can work with people you like, have fun and get beautiful images from then thats a win.Editing
I did a colour grade through photoshop and also a little bit of skin work, but not a lot.In my camera bag
Usually have a 5Dmk3, a Sony handheld travel camera, a gopro, laptop, seaport case (for tethering)- a 70-200mm and a 24-70mm lens. Thats about it - keep it tidy, lightweight and you will be able to take it anywhere!Feedback
Get doen to the beach early, and shoot with people who want to get beautiful images, not just pics of themselves. The image as a whole is everything, the subject is simply that, a subject.
