Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken at the SS Great Britain in Bristol, It was a special Victorian weekend they had up there

Time

It was taken in the late afternoon on an overcast day

Lighting

It was overcast so lighting was quite evenly balanced giving me good exposure throughout the image

Equipment

Taken on a Canon 5d mk4 with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Aperture ƒ/1.4 Shutter 1/800s ISO 100 Also there was a snow machine which added to the effect. "Not mine"

Inspiration

What inspired me to take it was the unique character of the actor and the emotion it give to the image

Editing

yes just light edit in Lightroom

In my camera bag

For Portraits i usually have Canon 5d mk4 70-200mm sigma f2.8 35mm sigma art f1.4 85mm sigma art f1.4 pixapro piki 200 strobe flash pixapro beauty dish for pika 200 pixapro st 4 trigger gitzo tripod.

Feedback

Place subject in soft light, do not shoot in harsh sunlight without a scrim or defuser Shoot wide open to blur the background always make sure shutter speed is fast enough not to get camera shake and just get out the and shoot, never give up on your dream.
