The rail fence and dark shadowy trees were so deep in shade that they needed a higher iso, but the sunshine behind was bright. I liked the contrast and knew i could adjust later in Lightroom. What I found there was that i could also suck the colour out of the foreground as well to make a greater contrast with the bright colourful background. I was seeking a balance of sorts, not all colour gone in the foreground, and not improbably colourful in the background.
